Playing Skyrim, Mount and blade that kind of stuff I listen to more relaxed Rock or things with a bit of an orchestra feeling.

I dont usually listen to music when playing, but i sometimes do when playing strategy or single player games without talking in them. Then it is mostly metal or sometimes older rock. When playing some games i like to listen to different books, lectures ect. These are often games with some boring times like roaming in mount and blade or silent periods in Heart of Iron (or other paradox strategy games :P). When i need to concentrate i turn the sound off. Actually a really good way to listen to stuff as i dont really get distracted.
