    I would stick with Core i3. Latest models integrated GPU can even handle single 4K video stream with ease. I use them in office for Intel NUC workstations, runs great.

    Actually I suggest you to pick up Intel NUC. Small form factor, does not consume much energy, is powerful enough for all the task you parents might need. And it might be cheaper or the same.

    Im going with the Core i5, the next time this PC will be updated is prob 5+ years from now, the current PC is near 10 years old. Might as well get the extra power.

    The NUC is more expensive than this current build.

    thanks for the help though bby cakes, I would've gone with the i3 if it wasn't a dual core
